中国驻埃塞俄比亚大使馆馆舍建设工程为旧建筑拆除后的新建项目，建筑规模约为6831平方米。建筑规模、高度、密度等指标应满足当地规划部门的控制要求。在考虑全部活动空间的同时综合考虑各使用房间在功能上的独立性，使得内部功能,既有独立性又在一定程度上得到整合，充分利用共享资源,节约能源。借鉴中外有关使馆建筑规划设计成功经验,结合个性特征，创造出高效率的使馆建筑。造型独特，简洁大方,使馆建筑具有与普通办公建筑相区别的使用功能。因此，使馆的总体构思突出反映在整体风格的高雅大方、自然亲切，其建筑空间与外部形象要体现出相应的时代气息, 尽量避免繁冗的复杂语言而采用简洁的元素,从而表达建筑气质的纯洁与高尚。
The construction project of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia is a new project after the demolition of the old building, with a building scale of about 6831 square meters. The architectural scale, height, density and other indicators shall meet the control requirements of the local planning department. While considering the whole activity spaces, the functional independence of each room needs to be considered comprehensively, which makes the internal functions not only independent but also integrated to a certain extent, making full use of shared resources and saving energy. Drawing lessons from the successful experience of planning and design of Chinese and foreign embassy buildings, and combining with personality characteristics, the embassy architectures with high efficiency can be created. With special, concise and decent styles, the embassy buildings have different using function from the common office building. Therefore, the overall plotting of the embassy is reflected in the elegance and natural friendliness of the overall style. Its architectural space and external image should reflect the corresponding flavor of the times, and try to avoid complicated language and adopt concise elements, so as to express the purity and high standard of architectural temperament.
考虑现代空间设计注重人的生理和心理要求的特点，从人文关怀的角度进行工作及休闲环境的设计。在使馆内部空间，绿色草坪与小品景观相映成趣，软化建筑物的坚硬形象，层叠有致的自由式绿地营造出丰富的室外三维空间景观；在建筑内部设有四周环行的景观内院，在建筑的不同部位还设置小型绿化休闲空间供大使或来访人员交流与休憩。通过大小不同的庭院及绿地区形成世外桃源般的内部山水环境，将阳光、绿色以及新鲜的空气带到每一位工作人员身边；驻外使馆的建筑造型要独特而不怪异，耐看而又不繁杂，同时又体现出一定中国传统文化的意象。建筑语言尽量采用简洁的元素， 形成强烈的大面积虚实对比， 在统一中求变化，表达出一种大气而富有新意的造型特点，使使馆建筑成为具有独特标志性的现代化建筑。

The architectural language should adopt concise elements to the greatest extent, forming a strong contrast between the real and the virtual in a large area.
